Regal wooden soldiers, Frosty the Snowman, Santa Claus, Christmas Carolers and Jack Frost nipping at the ears joined hundreds of Lynbrook residents, merchants, and government leaders; for Lynbrook's Annual Winter Celebration held Friday, December 4.   The evening was capped off by the official lighting of the Village Christmas Tree .
The Winter Celebration heralds the holiday season and featured activities for the entire family, including ice sculpting, caroling, marshmallow roasting, horse and carriage tours of downtown Lynbrook, a petting zoo, train rides, and an exclusive visit by Santa Claus to check his list one more time before Christmas Day.  "The Winter Celebration is a special event for me, my family and the entire community, from residents, merchants, and government leaders to the arts and village organizations.  It brings us together to celebrate the goodness of the season and the joy that it brings to the community," said Mayor Curran.  "On behalf of the Village of Lynbrook, I thank each individual who dedicated time and energy to make this a memorable gathering."
