Winter Celebration Rings in the Holiday
Season in Lynbrook
Regal wooden soldiers, Frosty the Snowman,
Santa Claus, Christmas Carolers and Jack
Frost nipping at the ears joined hundreds of
Lynbrook residents, merchants, and
government leaders; for Lynbrook's Annual
Winter Celebration held Friday, December 4.
The evening was capped off by the official
lighting of the Village Christmas Tree .
The Winter Celebration heralds the holiday
season and featured activities for the
entire family, including ice sculpting,
caroling, marshmallow roasting, horse and
carriage tours of downtown Lynbrook, a
petting zoo, train rides, and an exclusive
visit by Santa Claus to check his list one
more time before Christmas Day. "The Winter
Celebration is a special event for me, my
family and the entire community, from
residents, merchants, and government leaders
to the arts and village organizations. It
brings us together to celebrate the goodness
of the season and the joy that it brings to
the community," said Mayor Curran. "On
behalf of the Village of Lynbrook, I thank
each individual who dedicated time and
energy to make this a memorable gathering."
