Veterans Thank Mayor Curran, Trustee Beach

Lynbrook, NY …March 22, 2009 ... Flanked by Lynbrook’s landmark WWI Doughboy Statue stands the new Korean War Veterans Memorial.  The Memorial was constructed with private contributions and a grant provided by Senator Dean Skelos and Assemblyman Robert Barra.  Village Trustee Alan Beach, along with Mayor Brian Curran, worked closely with the Korean War Veterans Monument Committee throughout construction and completion of the new memorial.  At a recent Village board meeting, members of the committee presented Trustee Beach and Mayor Curran with plaques of appreciation for their leadership and work in support of establishing the Memorial.
