Nathan Hale Celebrates 37th Anniversary
Providing quality, affordable, gracious
senior living for Lynbrook's senior citizens
since 1972, Nathan Hale Senior Housing
recently celebrated its 37th Anniversary.
Located on Doxsey Place, the senior living
community is named and founded in honor of
the great American patriot Nathan Hale.
Hale, born June 6, 1755, was a soldier for
the Continental Army during the American
Revolutionary War. Considered America's
first spy, he volunteered for an
intelligence-gathering mission, but was
captured by the British. He is best
remembered for his speech before being
hanged September 22, 1776 following the
Battle of Long Island, in which he said, "I
only regret that I have but one life to give
my country."

(L to R) Former Lynbrook Mayor and
retired Supreme Court Justice Francis X.
Becker, Mayor Brian Curran, Mr. Robert
G. Becker, and John Gordon joined
with current residents of Nathan Hale to
celebrate the community's
37th anniversary.
