Residents of the Village of Lynbrook
joined Mayor Brian Curran and the Board
of Trustees to celebrate the 96th
Birthday of resident
Paul Sci. In addition to receiving a
citation recognizing his outstanding
living streak, Mr. Sci, joined by
Kathy Sci, was presented a Kelly green
New York Mets baseball cap. Mr. Sci's
baseball passion is the Mets, and Mayor
Curran presented the Kelly green cap,
hoping that it would bring the Mets and
Mr. Sci extra good fortune in 2009.
Lynbrook is home to one of the region's
most active senior clubs. The Lynbrook
Senior Club's mission is to provide
educational, intellectual and cultural
experiences for the senior citizen
population living in Lynbrook through
lectures, cultural presentations and
trips to places of interest. In addition
to friendship and camaraderie, the
members enjoy social get-togethers, host
guest speakers, and gather for parties,
outings and luncheons throughout the
year. The Club is comprised of seniors,
ages 55 and older. For more information
