PUBLIC NOTICE OF VILLAGE TREASURER'S SALE FOR

TAX LIENS ON REAL ESTATE IN THE

VILLAGE OF LYNBROOK, NY

 

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to the applicable provisions of the Real Property Tax Law and the Village Law of the State of New York and pursuant to a resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Lynbrook, Nassau County, N.Y., adopted at a meeting held on the 25th day of January, 2010, Treasurer of said Village will sell at public auction in the manner prescribed by law, on the 16th day of March, 2010 at 10:00 o'clock in the forenoon of that day and on succeeding days, in the Courtroom of the Village Hall, 1 Columbus Drive, Lynbrook, New York, so as much of each of the following parcels of real estate upon which Village taxes remain unpaid as will be sufficient to discharge the taxes, interest and charges thereon which may be due at the time of sale.

 

Such interest in real estate will be sold subject to any unpaid assessment thereon levied by said Village and any unpaid lien purchased and held by said Village, and all liens on property included in this sale are sold subject to the provisions of any Federal or State Law.

 

Each purchaser at such tax sale shall pay the amount of his/her bid to the Village Treasurer within ten (10) days after the sale, and upon such payment, the Treasurer shall give to the purchaser a certificate in writing describing the real property purchased and the sum paid therefore.

     Specifications and contracts may be obtained at the Office of the Village Clerk, Village Hall, One Columbus Drive, Lynbrook, New York between the hours of 8:00

A.M. and 4:00 P.M. Monday through Friday.

     The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any and all bids if they are not in the best interest of the Village.
