The Assessor's Office is
located in the Village

The Assessment
Department is
responsible for
assessing all real
property, preparing and
maintaining the
assessment rolls, tax
rolls and tax bills for
approximately 6,000
parcels throughout the
Village.

The Final Assessment
roll is prepared and
finalized by April 1st
each year.
-
The Assessment
Department must be
advised when a mortgage
is satisfied or
refinanced or when there
is a new owner. This
must be done within 30
days of such change.

You may pick up an
application for a
senior application
beginning Oct. 15th.
The income limit is
$34,400. We will be
using 2007 income.
Those who already
have a senior
exemption will
receive renewal
applications in the
mail in mid Oct.
The filing period
begins Nov. 1st
and ends Dec 31st.

The Village’s tax
grievance period
begins Feb 1, 2008
and concludes on
February 19th
which is Grievance
Day. If you wish to
file a grievance,
you may pick up an
application after
January 1, 2008 at
the Assessment
Dept. The deadline
for filing is
February 19th
at 9PM.

Taxes
are due
December
1, 2007
thru
December 31, 2007 by 4:00pm.

If taxes
are not
paid by
December 31, 2008,
there
will be
a 5%
penalty
added to
your
taxes.
